The first time I setup my AMEX account and Moneydance+ downloaded the transactions, it did not download all historical data and the balance was incorrect. I edited the account and attempted to download again. Moneydance thought it was a new account and asked if I wanted to download all data - as it asked the first time - but this time it downloaded ALL historical data and the balance was correct. I have several accounts that have the same problem that I had with AMEX, but I cannot figure out how to do that same thing I di with AMEX to get them to download all historical data so that the data is downloaded and the balance is correct

That seems odd, the amount of historical data is set by the Bank/financial institution and not Plaid/MD+. You can tell Plaid to reset the sync and it will load whatever the bank can provide. Usually the financial institution loads about 6 months of data max.

Select the Online->Setup Moneydance+ menu, then click on an account (not the bank name) in the right column you should see a popup menu. If you select the Reset Sync Date entry, Moneydance will prompt you upon the next download to select how far back in time you'd like it to request transactions. How far back the transactions actually go is dependent upon the bank and/or their service provider, but Moneydance will request whatever date you specify.
