Found Backup File and recovered from That.

I assume you bought a new license for a significant discount and put that into the 2024 software (we have quite a few users forget to do that).

Oh, I'm assuming you were using version 2021 before - versus losing data back to 2021. My comment may or may not be significant.

I'm glad to hear it sounds like things have been sorted out. For reference, what probably happened was that the program found an older data file stored on your computer, and tried to open that first. Your existing data file shouldn't have been touched, and you could have opened that, but restoring a backup should have the same overall effect.
