MD 2010 Auto-Updater Problem with Windows 7

FYI:

Was running build 743. Just got message from the startup updater that 745 available and clicked to "update". Would not work. Got about 5 JAVA errors, which I could not copy and paste for email to md support per the window's request. Clicking "cancel" brought up a "update completed" message and allowed program to start normally; but it was not updated.

Running Windows 7 enterprise 64bit. Was in an admin account, but figured UCL blocking update so downloaded 745 independently and updated fine using the downloaded installer.

I do not think I ever tried to do an MD auto-update on my Win 7 system before so this is probably normal and might be alleviated by
lowering the UCL slider.

The experience did remind me about a separate long-time MD problem though. It sure would be nice if the various MD installer names would include the build number. It is never in the file properties and it is a pain not knowing if you downloaded the one you wanted until after you do the install and look in the MD "about" window. I reverted back to 735 (from the normal download area) first before getting the correct 745 from a search of Trac and this is not the first time this has happened to me.

Sadly there is a known problem on windows vista and windows 7 where by on some installations the permissions on the Moneydance install directory are do not inculde write access. We are not certain as to the casue of this problem and we have not been able to reproduce it on our test machines. Changing the permissions on the folder seems to resolve the issue.

    Sincerely
