I opened new file for new financial year(1st July to 30June in Australia) and previous year (ACCOUNTS 23-24) immediately disappeared and can't be found. I initially managed locate part of the file through backups but even that has gone now. Makes tax preparation very difficult. Can you help?

The Moneydance menu command File => Open should give a list of all files that you have opened in the past.

You can also search using you operating system file Manager for any file/folder with the extension .moneydance or you can use the Toolbox extension to do this.
