Duplicating transactions
The new Version 2024.2 (5140) has messed up the duplicate transaction function. When I duplicate a cleared transaction, the duplicated transactions shows as cleared and the original transaction suddenly becomes uncleared. I have to now manually unclear the new transaction, save it, then go back to the original transaction, mark it as cleared and save that transaction as well.
Up until now, the the duplicate was listed as uncleared and the original was left as is.

The duplicate transaction function was improved between 5139 and 5140, (about duplicating the "other side" of a transaction) but this was possibly missed or a repercussion. I will pass this on to the developer.

I have verified this problem, and informing Sean about it.

Yup. Verified. The fix is wrongly clearing the old parent’s status (whilst also clearing the dup’s splits’ status(es).

@drsfg - Thank you for the report. The more eyes, the better the final release.

Given you are now a tester (whether you intended to be or not), grab 5141 (it's out) and see if it fixed the problem for you.

Yup, the issue is gone.
Great job!
I don’t mind being a tester, of sorts. If I see an issue, I report it. I happen to find this issue fast, because I use the Duplicate Transaction feature a lot because I have a good number of monthly payments to do from various vendors and that feature reduces needless typing.
