Updating old version
I purchased a 2024 update to my old Moneydance program and have downloaded it. However when trying to install i got a message saying "which file associations" do i want. There are seven of these one QIF, two QFX, one COMMA SEPARATED, three Moneydance old data, data and archive and i do not know which to choose

I would say you are using Windows, in which case it has always asked those questions.
All of them are optional, none effect the operation of the program, selecting any of them will just result in Moneydance starting and opening those files.
There is certainly no harm in selecting the three Moneydance file types, nothing else is going to be able to open them.
As for the others it depends if you want to be able to double click on them in Explorer and have Moneydance start then import them, rather that opening Moneydance and selecting to Import from the Moneydance menu.
So it comes down to personal preference and how you use your computer and Moneydance. Personally I never set CSV as I may have such a file I would want to open in a spreadsheet program.
