Transaction not gaining to balance

Hi, I am having an issued where an account has been set up with sub-accounts and when I enter a transaction it does not alter the balance.

   I created a quick new data file and it worked as expected, we do not know what version of Moneydance you are using however.

   I notice all of the accounts show a zero balance. Are the accounts perhaps marked as Inactive? Open the account register, go to Account -> Edit Account from the menu bar, and make sure the Inactive box is not checked. Repeat this for the other accounts in the tree.

   Thank you, it appeared as I had the Main account still ticked Inactive, as mentioned by you below. Thank you for your assistance.
