Update a memorized report is not working
I'm attempting to make changes to a memorized report and the changes are not sticking. Here are the steps I'm using for this. PLEASE NOTE: I am currently working with the Alpha version of MD 2024.2 (5129) because investment reports are not working in the earlier versions (a problem generating reports that have splits that this Alpha version has fixed).
1. Tools -> Graphs and Reports
2. Click “Memorized Reports”
3. Click once on the report I want to update. In this case it is an Investment Performance report that has been memorized.
4. Click “Edit”
5. Deselect a stock that is part of the report.
6. Click “OK” – report is generated
7. Click “Memorize” – a dialog flashes onto then off of the screen too quickly to see what it is
8. Click “Memorize” again and this dialog appears (see attached file "Dialog for step 8.jpg")
9. Select the report that I just generated (see attached file "Dialog for step 9.jpg")
10. Click “Update” and the dialog goes away and I’m back at the generated report (step 6)
11. Click “Done” and I’m returned to the Edit screen (step 4)
12. Click “Cancel” to return to the list of memorized reports. (step 2)
13. Click “Edit” again on the report I just updated and the stock I deselected in #2 is still selected, indicating that no change has been made to the memorized report.

As a starter, update to preview 5142 as a lot has been done on reports between 5129 and 5142. Report back if anything is better or what is still not working.

Ah yes. In fact that blank name field issue was fixed in the latest alpha. Please download and try again.

Stuart might mean 5143 - I was talking about previews.

One thing that is still happening is
7. Click “Memorize” – a dialog flashes onto then off of the screen too quickly to see what it is
A minor issue but it does mean you have to click "Memorize" twice to get the dialog for step 8.
