Quotes and Exchange Rates not updating
It seems that suddenly the Quotes and Exchange Rates extension is not updating security prices.
I am not sure why, but suddenly is will not update security prices the way it used to.

Hasn’t worked since April or may when yahoo made some changes.
Don’t know why “suddenly” for you? Or were you using a non yahoo method?

I am using either Yahoo or alpha vantage as a back up.
I djust did another try, and it looks like Yahoo might actually work, but it only give you the closing price from the day before, not the current price.
During the download it also keeps giving the weird notice that it is unable to get exchange rate between "stock symbol" ABC and US $ for each stock, ETF, or mutual fund, which is a weird message that makes no sense.
I will keep trying for a few days.

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi Christian
dtd is correct, Yahoo as a source in Quotes and Exchange Rates extension has not work for a long time. If you select Yahoo under Security Price dropdown and the Advanced and click TEST the Test Results for each security will read No history records returned for security xxxxxx
if you get a price returned please post a screen shot.
If you want to get prices from Yahoo try the extension Quote Loader under EXTENSIONS – MANAGE EXTENSION. This also has the source FT.
For information on the features of Quote Loader and how to use see post 103 at https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/discussions/investments/7595-quo...
Download the PDF’s attached to post 103 and have a read.
To get an overview take a look at the YouTube videos by using the links on page 1 and 2 of the PDF.
The Quick Start Video is intended to give a quick overview so the user can see if Quite loader looks like it could work for them. The Short Video expands the user’s knowledge giving more detail. The Full Video goes even further but may be to wordy for some.
The PDF reinforces what’s leaned in the videos, provides step by step instructions, a must read and provide answers on how to handle less obvious issues some users may come across.
Let us know how you get on or if you need help just post. If any securities return an error then post your base currency, the Ticker, full Security Name and last price you have and its traded currency or just post a screen shot of the Quote Loader windows after you click GET PRICES.
Hope this helps.
