Downloading amex transactions
I was able download transactions fine for a long time till the end of August . But suddenly it won't download.

Same issue here. I thought it was a temporary situation and relied on using the 'download transactions' option in 'quicken' format in the interim.

It appears as though American Express has discontinued Direct Connect/OFX services. There are multiple discussions. Here is one of them:

I had to switch to plaid (MD+) to download AMEX Personal Savings. Now they have combined the login and services and I think you need plaid for both the credit card and the savings. The credit card download is working through MD+.
