AMEX different accounts and online d/l

I have several American Express accounts. I currently use quicken and when it downloads, the AMEX transactions get downloaded and assigned to each corresponding accounts.

Yesterday I downloaded a trial version and it won't allow me to try a download to see if it will work by downloading / assigning each account.

I hope it can do it. I sincerely want to leave Quicken. I do not like predatory business practices. I have Q 2006, it works OK for me but the program had a drop dead date in their code. I can no longer download my credit card balances unless I complete a forced update. Plus if I update I must move the program to a different computer. Of the four computers I have, there is one old one, a WIN 98 box. That box is basically used for banking and a fax/answering machine. I don't want to be forced to move my account onto one of the other laptops.

Although MD does seem to run a bit slower on that WIN98 box than Q but I can live with it. Maybe I'll try the Java 1.1 option.

Forget about the Java in my above post. Apparently that has to do with printing.

    John,

Just to clarify, is your question about importing your accounts from Quicken or about downloading your transactions from your various Amex accounts? You can do both of course but I want to be clear where the difficulty you are experiencing lies.

You should be able to download your Amex transactions. Once you have set up each of your accounts within Moneydance you can set up online banking for that account (the "online" button is just above the "check#" column in your register). The transaction downloads happen one account at a time so you can't do a batch download for all your Amex accounts all at once.

What is the specific place you are getting stuck?
