I am using linux and keepassx for password storage. It works fine for me, but
Moneydance won't allow me to paste onto the password window. I see this
was addressed earlier and keepassx fixed problems with keepass. But not
for me.
The paste command with the right mouse button does nothing.
Are there any further ideas? I really need both Moneydance and keepassx so what to do??

    Additional information to this post.
    1. I meant "clipboard" of course not "scratchpad".
    2. Normally when right clicking on a window, the dropdown menu allows you to
select Paste. With MD no dropdown menu.
    3. Pasting from another application, gmail, is not different, the problem is the
lack of the dropdown menu in MD.

    Hi Tom,

Are you trying to paste data into the Moneydance data set encryption file when you first try to open a data set, or into an online account password?

Can you send us the output of your console log? This can be found by going to Help -> Console window in Moneydance, then clicking the "Copy to clipboard" button and pasting the output to us here.

Also, what Linux distribution are you using and what desktop environment?

I am using ubuntu 13.04, linux 3.8.0-22 and gnome.
I tried "parcellite" and it shows the clipboard is getting the information I am trying to
    paste.
I am trying to paste the password for an online account.

    Hi Tom,

Are you using the Ctrl + C/Ctrl + V copying and pasting method, or highlighting and middle clicking the mouse copying and pasting method?

Do you have the Moneydance window maximized or not when trying this? We've had some reports in the past of Moneydance doing strange things with Gnome 3 when it's maximized, so maybe restoring it to a window would work, if it's currently maximized.

    Hello Scott,
Some progress but not enough. Window maximized or minimized does
    not make any difference.
My method in the past was to right click on the place for the
password and the pop up would appear. It does not.
Now I found that if instead I do a cnt-V I get something copied,
but it is not accepted as the password.
Further, somehow in doing that on one of the accounts, it seems to
have lost the account URL or something which I will
    have to check.

    Hi Tom,

I would suggest trying to use the Ctrl + V shortcut of the password that you're copying to gedit or somewhere else where you can see if the output is the expected password if pasting it in the Moneydance password field isn't working. Maybe it's copying extra characters for some reason.
