Okay, I have decided to forge ahead with this software...

I did a Online Account download for my Edward Jones account and the data comes in, only it is not properly formatted. I have all of my expenses (payments out of the account) show up as deposits (into the account). Also, all of my deposits into the account are showing as withdrawls from the account. This is resulting in the balance going in the opposite direction that it should be going. Can someone please check this, or is there a way for me to correct this so that as future activity is downloaded, I will be able to correct this?

Thanks!!!!

Can you tell me how you downloaded the data? Did you perform a direct connection between Moneydance and the institution or did you manually download a file? If you downloaded a file what what the format of the file you downloaded?

    Hi spolk66,

What kind of account are you using with Edward Jones? What is the account type for the account in Moneydance? If the balance isn't correct, have you tried setting an initial balance for the account by going to Tools -> Accounts, then selecting the account and clicking the Edit button, then entering an initial balance?

It is a brokerage account, or investments.

    Hi Steve,

Is the account setup as an investment account in Moneydance? You can verify if it is by going to Tools -> Accounts and looking at the corresponding Type field for the account.
