Program not working properly
The credit card account is subtracting amounts rather than adding them.

Hi Brenda,
Your Credit Card register is carrying a positive value. (blue values in the Balance column.) That should not be.
Generally, Credit Card accounts carry a negative value. (red values preceded by a minus sign.)
You should be able to resolve this matter by editing the 'Initial Debt' entry in the account's properties form. Enter a value there so that your register displays negative values that reconciles with your bank.

The above post is correct. In general, credit card balances should go down by becoming 'more negative' in their balance, if that makes sense. That indicates that you owe that amount to the credit card company. It's negative because it's a debt you owe. Having a positive credit card balance would be rare, a result of something like you overpaying your monthly bill amount.
