Downloading transctions from Merrill Lynch
I successfully downloaded transactions from one bank account, but I can't get the download from Merrill Lynch to work at all. I used to be able to download into MS Money all the time. But now that I have converted to MD I can't get it to work. I have tried to "open with" MD and also to just save the file and import. Neither works. When I get the screen to select what account to Select and Account, there are no accounts listed, the field is blank. I have tried to use the Quicken and MS Money formats and they both do the same thing.

HI Candice,
Are you trying to download your transactions into a Checking/Savings account in Moneydance or an Investment account? If you're not using an investment account, that could be the problem.

It's the cash management part of my investment account. I have it set up in Moneydance as a bank acct. I'm not tracking my investments in MD.

Hi Candy,
Moneydance 2012 doesn't yet have support for cash management accounts. In order to download transactions from this account into Moneydance, you'll need to set up the account as an investment account. The next version of Moneydance will include this functionality, so this should be a temporary work around.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thanks for your interest in Moneydance!

Jessica,
Thank you for your response. It doesn’t look like I can change what type of account it is once it is set up. Do you know when the next update will be that will include functionality for cash management accounts?

Hello Candy,
I'm afraid that I am unable to give a firm release date for the next major release of Moneydance at this time. It will likely be several months.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,
