Printing Issues Since Upgrading to Version 2024.3 (5219)

I'm running Moneydance on Windows 11. Since upgrading to version 2024.3 (5219), I'm experiencing the following report issues.

1) My memorized reports are now opening in a new window instead of opening in the main body of current window.

2) Print to PDF no longer works. The printed name and dollar characters are not visible. Might have something to do with the font color. I'm using the "Flat Dark" theme. When I switch to another theme it appears to work.

Thanks
Larry

    Hi Larry

What exact steps are you using to open a memorized report window.
Does print to PDF work when using other themes?

    Hi derekkent23

    Regarding you questions...

What exact steps are you using to open a memorized report window?
I added "Memorized Graphs and Reports" to the Summary page. When I try to open the report from the Summary page it opens in a new window. I don't remember it opening in a new window prior to upgrading to version 2024.3 (5219). When I open a memorized report from the "Graphs & Reports" menu it still opens the report in the main body of Moneydance.

Does print to PDF work when using other themes?
Yes, print to PDF does work when I'm using the "Default" theme. However, when I use the "Flat Dark" theme, the only letters that are readable are the headings which appear in black and negative numbers which appear in red. The other letters/words are there because I can copy them from the PDF document and paste them in a text document. Their font color blends into the background so I cannot read them.

    Thanks,
    Larry

    1. right click and select a different opening action
    2. the colors have been fixed in build 5252 (alpha).

    Thank you, Stuart.

Using the right-click option to open a memorized report from the Summary page will work for me. The only thing I noticed is that when you choose the option to "Open in Current Window", there is no way to close the report to return to the Summary page. You need to go to a different menu item and then go back to the Summary page.

Good to hear that PDF printing when using the "Flat Dark" theme will be fixed in build 5252. Looking forward to its release.

    Thanks,
    Larry

👍 TBH. That specific alpha release is just 2024.3 with theee small bug fixes including this one. IMHO it’s perfectly safe to use (this one). But it’s your call of course.

    Hi Larry

Using Windows and 5219 if I click once on a Memorised Report in the Side Bar it open in the main body of current window. It only opens a second window if I double click a Memorised Report in the Side Bar.

I am running build 5252 on my main Data Set after I did some testing on a test computer. But as Stuart states it’s your call of course.

    Hope this helps.
