Is there a way to edit the number of decimals for investment transactions?
I found this discussion https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/discussions/problems/4280-how-to-edit-decimal-places-for-investments from back in 2012 where the change was being considered but can't see a way to do it. Thanks in advance

Hi,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
You could launch Moneydance and navigate to Extensions->Manage Extensions to install the Toolbox.
Launch the Toolbox and select 'Update mode'
In the Menu: Currency and Security Tools, under "Update Functions" choose "FIX:Edit a Security's Decimal Place setting (adjust related Investment txns & Security balances accordingly).
Finally restart Moneydance.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

To be clear. This edits the decimal places for store ld quantities of the security. E.g. buy 100.1 vs 100.10001
If you want to affect the displayed price, then use tools/securities/edit and change the price display decimal places setting.
