currency function not working
Hello,
It seems that the currency function is broken again (not the first time).
- Rates are set at 1:1 or left blank
- trying to update the rate in the Moneydance currency/security history doesn't work--any input reverts to 1:1
Is this feature under investigation? It reduces the usability of the product for me to near zero if currency exchange rates can't be updated. I see references in the knowledge base to extensions, building manual .csvs, etc but that's not what I'm paying for.
Please indicate whether multi-currency support is being deprecated, whether a bug fix is in progress, or...basically what's going on.

Hi Mark,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.
Generally to update your stock/currency price/rate, you can use either the extension Quotes and Exchange Rate Updater or the Quote Loader.
The development team are about to release and update for the Quotes and Exchange Rate Updater which isn't working as expected at the moment, so in the meantime you could use the Quote Loader
For information on the Quote Loader and how to use it, please refer to this public thread
Download the PDF’s attached to post 139 and have a read.
To get an overview take a look at the YouTube videos by using the links on page 1 and 2 of the PDF.
The Quick Start Video is intended to give a quick overview so the user can see if Quite loader looks like it could work for them. The Short Video expands the user’s knowledge giving more detail. The Full Video goes even further but may be too wordy for some.
The PDF reinforces what’s leaned in the videos, provides step by step instructions, a must read and provide answers on how to handle less obvious issues some users may come across.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.
