Investment Security Status Set to Inactive - How to make it Active Again
Hi I went into an Investment and in the Securities Detail tab, I selected a Security that I no longer have allocated to any funds, so I selected the Inactive option, thinking it would just be greyed out. Instead it has been removed from the list which would be fine, however three things have also happened - 1) its no longer selectable or even visible to then unclick the inactive tab at a later date 2) I cant add it again using the Add Security as it is not visible in the list of available securities - it is there because I can see it from the Tools Securiies dropdown - but in that you cant make it Active again 3) Quote Loader doesn't have it in the list any more so it won't keep updating the prices.
So in short, marking it inactive is a BAD idea - how do I find the Security with the option to make it Active again please.

Just to add to what Stuart said
Scroll down to the account the security is in you should see it greyed out right click on it and select Edit Account, you can then reset the security.

Thank you Stuart and dwg. That makes absolutely no sense why its in accounts - why not Securities?, but i have now found and corrected it. - Appreciate the prompt advice :-)

The Security listing is a global list, Active/Inactive is not a global setting for a security.
A security can be in multiple accounts and could be active in some and inactive in others.

Securities sit within a security sub account within investment accounts. You inactivated the sub account.
