Screen-views not closing when exiting Reports, etc?
2025-0418...MacBook-Pro-Sequoia 15.4.1, using MD 2024.1, Problem..Having Multiple screens open. After exiting Reports, etc the screens stay open in the background-they do not close? The view screens keep multiplying in the background. I have to manually close each view screen to get back to the default view-screen for accounts data entry, and sometimes, mistakenly, close the MD Program, then have to re-open to continue (my mistake, I know, BUt?). There must be a setting in MD to prevent multiple view-screen after closing a view screen,, but I cannot find it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.
Firstly, we would recommend installing the latest version.
Moneydance 2024.4 (5253) is available for downloading from this page.
You should choose to overwrite or manually uninstall the previous version.
Side: When you have multiple windows open, in order to close all of them at once you should navigate to File->Quit

Thanks Maddy, I did state I was using MD 2024.1 - No need to download it
I do not find a "File-Quit" option on my MAC when viewing the Reports?
If I select Moneydance - Quit, then the MD Program closes?
So in I tried a new method of closing the view-screen of Reports...
I was selecting "Done" at bottom of screen (P&L Report) and not selecting the top left-red box to end it. By doing this instead, it closed the view-screen for that Report (P&L) and brought me back to the Reports menu to select another Report, and good no residual Reports' view-screens in the background.
I wonder if when selecting "Done" at bottom of a Report's viewing-screen, if the Program should also close the window-view and go back to the "Reports" selection screen?

It seems that you are running a slightly older build of Moneydance 2024, hence my suggestion to upgrade to Moneydance 2024.4 (5253) - This is a free upgrade for you!
