Net worth graph displays gargabge when including a foreign acct
Latest Moneydance (2024.4 build 5253). I live in the US, all my transactions are in USD. I have1 acct in Euro for which I enter transactions in that currency and that can be included in the net worth summary with no problem (does the conversion to USD automatically). When I include this account to generate the net worth graph it then displays garbage. Works just fine when excluding that account. Suggestions ?

Clarify “garbage”. Screenshots of good and bad results help.

Hi Stuart,
see attached. Sorry about the wording.
These cover the exact same period. The bad one is just the results of
including 1 single account (the only one in Euros)

Have you looked at the exchange rates/balances/prices/whatever for that account on those particular dates (Sep 2023, Feb 2024, Mar 2024 and especially Sep 2024?) Given the entire net worth issue is on 4-5 particular dates, otherwise no effect, I'd examine those approximate dates and see if you have "garbage" entries on those dates [I suspect garbage exchange rate values for those days, that then go back to correct rates.] Go to Tools/Currencies to check....

Hi dtd;
I will dig in further, but you must be right because if I restrict the
data to the last 6 mths, its all good. Shoulda thought of that, duh..
Good call. Thank you

Bingo dtd
there were 4 values at 10000 in the history table, who knows why.
Problem solved. You guys rock.
I have been loving Moneydance and I am curious as to why it doesn't
appear as a very worthy piece of software (if at all). Bought it years
ago and recent searches for financial software do not mention it at all..
Cheers and thank you.

There are some places that do review it. But many of these "review sites" just copy a list of financial packages from other review sites, then write their own spin on that list.
Glad you found where the wrong values are.
