I'm on MD 2024.4 and current quoteloader (v322007) but when Quote loaded runs, either automatically or manually (Get prices) it lilsts the new perices, but never saves them to the stock history! Also the Last proice date does not update. I did something on 5.23 and it did saye prices then, but not since then.
Any ideas??

It’s because you are on an older version of MD. I need to add a workaround fix.

Interesting. If I close and restart MD, it updates the prices! See attached History for Apple as an example.
    Note: I'm on a Mac
Also, When I check for updates, it says "Your copy of Moneydance is up-to-date! "

Yup. The update is being made but not flushed. A clean exit will probably flush the changes. As I said, I need to address

PREVIEW build 330101 is available here:

This hopefully will address the non-saving issue on older builds.. Let me know how you get on?

Thanks! I'll test it this evening and let you know.
You say "older builds", but I'm on the most current (5253) I checked the
download page earlier today. No 2025 version out as of yet. Should I be
    implementing a MD preview release?

Still no luck with daily updates.
Today I did the Get/Select/Save process to update all prices. I guess I will do that every weekend until I hear about a fix.
My quoteloader parameters are attached. - I set them this way per your earlier note.

I noticed Next Run Date for stocks was in the past. I set it to 6/14/2025 so we'll see if it runs OK on Monday.

Well, it's 20:49 here in Michigan and no quotes loaded today.
Securities all have a Price Date of 6/6.
A fresh screenshot of QL parameters is attached.
I'm confused as to why the NextRun date is 6/6 - that's in the past! I
made the changes you recommended and they pressed the Recalculate NExt Run
    button.
If I press the button again, the next run date stays at 6/6 Should I
    update it manually?
    Very confusing.

    Hi Bill

From your screen shot you are not clicking on the security next day calinda to set the next run date. The next run date is still set to 6/6/2025.

For details on how to set up Auto Run see page 11 of the PDF attached to post 219 at
    https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/discussions/investments/7595-quo...

    Hope this helps

More info. QL does not seem to be updating the Next Run date after each run.
When I checked today, (6/20/2025) I noticed prices had not been updated since 6/18/2025, which matched the Last Run Date. The Next Run Date was still 6/19/2025 which is yesterday! Form what I understand, if the next Run Date is in the past, QL will not run.
I keep MD running all the time. I've posted a screen shot of my QL parameters and nothing has changed, except the Next run date for Exchange Rates dutifully updates every dat even though I have no exchange rates to update.
Any ideas how ot get it to run every day?
Also, I've got the time set to 1700. What time zone is that in? Mine or some other one?

    Hi Bill

Windows 11, Moneydance 2024.4(5253) and Quote Loader 322007.

After reading your last post Jun 21, I set up Quote Loader to run 08:00 on Jun 22. See screenshot.
I deleted a last dated price for one of my securities so Quote Loader would have something to update over the weekend.
I don’t leave my computer running overnight. I turned on my computer and opened Moneydance and left it reduced in the task bar at about 07:45 Jun 22. As required for Auto Run to work I left Quote Loader closed.

After 08:00 I looked at the subject security and it has been correctly updated. I opened Quote Loader, the NEXT RUN DATE had been updated to the 23/06/2025
So for me Quote Loader Auto Run works.

I don’t leave Moneydance running 24 7 so that a difference. Never tested that scenario.
    Try closing Moneydance overnight.

If it still does not Auto Run for you in Quote Loader Parameter tab and set Console Message to Detailed. Close Quote Loader and after a failed Auto Run open the console window and save to a file and post this file.

There were no changes on June 19 for securities traded on US exchanges, which were closed on Juneteenth.

When it did not run at 1700 today I was going to post the failure when I saw the post from Derekken23. So I change the parameters to run at 2100 and pressed Recalculate Next Run and turned on Debug.
The resulting console log is attached.
It looks like it did attempt to run, but the interesting item in the Log to me is this line "20250624-21:00:00.769 Quote Load>DET-Thread-11(Quote Load,Process Command) Nothing to run"
After the run attempt the parameter still says next run date is 06/24/2025 and 2100 so it did not update to 06/25/2025
QL always works when I first launch, but does nothing when it hits a Next Run time,
I'm on the current version of QL and MD 2024.4 (5253) on a Mac M4 computer running Sequoia 15.5
    Any ideas?

It’s a bug. At 23:59 on 23rd it repeats the same check 7000+ times and then fails and at 23:59:01 resets the clock to 23:59:00 on 23rd, doomed never to recheck.

Ok. There were numerous bugs relating to scheduled time updates and expecting it to work on following days if the computer was not restarted each day. I can’t see how this ever worked on following days. We might have fixed all these bugs now. Being tested.

    Hi Bill

My testing indicates that Stuart has fixed the issues that prevented scheduled Auto Run on following days when Moneydance session left running past midnight, or for more than one day.

If you want to test before it appears under Extensions you can download and install Quote Loader build 330105 from
    https://infinitekind.com/app/md/extensions/preview/securityquoteloa...

Well, progress! I had QL set to run on Sunday night (6/29). While it did not change any prices (Price date is still 06/27/25), it did move the Next Run Date on 1700 on 6/30/25
and updated prices, but none were changed.
A quick review of the log implies that it wakes up very hour and check if something to do.
So I think QL v330105 is success!!!

    Great.
I got the same result as you on Sunday. The only difference is I deliberately deleted the last dated price for one of my security so the Quote Loader had something to update on Sunday, which it did.

Stuart - if you want the console log, I will provide it. Then only significant difference from my prior log is it actually updated prices and the price date this time.
