Cannot open data

Moneydance has been used for almost 2 years. When I try to open Moneydance, the data is shown only to July 2012 -- it is posted current through 2013. The backup does not open. Applications has the data but it will not open. How can I get this data to open?

A similar request was emailed yesterday -- 4 July 2013.

    Are you saying that an upgrade to Moneydance 2012 would solve my problem?
