Error Saving Report
Is anyone else having problems with ‘Copy’ a report. Some reports seem ok, but for others (e.g. Account Balances) I am finding that I get the message ‘Error Saving Report’ if I choose tab delimited / tab delimited (Encoded for Excel), There are no issues with any of the other options (HTML / CSV etc)
I am also finding that using ‘Save’ results in a .txt file, but when saved the message ‘Error Saving Report’ is seen and the resulting saved file is a cut down version of the original report?
I am running Version 2024.4 (5253)
Any help please.

What OS are you running?
Please reproduce and then grab help/show console and upload that as a txt file here.

You've hit a bug. Basically you have a field on that report (probably account name) that somehow contains a (hidden) tab character. When you export and a field contains the same character as the copy/save delimiter.
For now, look for the account name that has the tab and remove it.
I understand that this code has been replaced for MD2025 anyway, and whenever that's released, then this issue will therefore be fixed....

(PS.. I reproduced it by using a rich text editor, typing some text with a tab in it, and then copy/pasting that into an account name, and then running the report....)

Hi Stuart, to hunt the problem account I unticked an account from the report
and worked through each account until the 'Copy' worked again - I then
noticed the account causing the problem, had a zero balance so included it
in the report again and unticked 'include zero balance accounts' and 'Copy'
works as it should.
Many Thanks for your help

Ah – nothing to do with zero balances then
Many Thanks again
