My Income and Expense Report shows monthly values but from-to date for September
Hi,
using MD 2024.4 on MBP M1 with Sequoia 15.6.1.
I just ran the income and expense report for this year. January to August show the totals per month, but for September I now see 09/01/2025 - 09/02/2025 instead.
Can I change that in the report to see the same totals as for all other months? I did not see any options in the report settings.
I can make this column narrower, but then it still shows 09/01/2025 instead of Sep 2025.

Hi Gerd,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
You could use the ''Income and Expense, Detailed' report.
Reports are accessible via Tools --> Graphs and Reports, or in the left side bar (below your accounts).
When viewing the report settings, you can choose the accounts to include and you can specify the date range. The date range can be set as longer than just 12 months.
At the bottom of the report settings window, you'll likely see 'All Income' and 'All Expense'. Choose the button to the right of this - Show: By Individual.
This will display each of your individual categories and you can choose which to include/exclude before generating the report to view your data.

I already use the Income and Expenses from the side bar.
Attached are my report settings.
What is causing the September column to be different?

I believe the report will show September like that because it is only a Month to date column rather than a completed month, just to show the month could be considered misleading.
