Hi,

I tried to import the QFX file from my bank account but I'm getting the following error:

There was an error importing the file '156203-51662230788_0ofxdl.qfx': java.lang.NullPointerException: Parameter specified as non-null is null: method com.moneydance.apps.md.view.gui.txnreg.AccountSelector.<init>, parameter book

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mike

    Hi MIchael,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

Did you select an account in the left side bar prior to navigating to File->Import?

Generally, the steps for manually importing your data are outlined in this article from the Knowledge Base.

Lastly, you can navigate to Online->Match Online Accounts.
This feature is for the remembered account number links for manually imported files.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

I'm at the beginning window "Welcome to Moneydance". I selected "Import new account set". Attempted to import the QFX file and then I get the error message that I shared.

From the Welcome Window you should choose Create a New Account Set first.
Then once your local accout exists within the program, you can import your QFX file.

In order to get started, please refer to this article of the Knowledge Base and follow the links listed on the right hand side of your screen.
Finally, you may want to refer to this article describing the First Steps with Moneydance in an easy and comprehensive manner.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions or need any assistance.
