Check # List Not Showing in "Edit"

So my custom entries are in the "Check #" field, but when I click "Edit", there's nothing in the box; the entries do not show up. Any suggestions? Any suggestions would be much appeciated, William

   Some comments

   Your first list is entries pulled from existing transactions in the account, you have set it to allow for 50.

   The empty box is for hard coded entries that will show, you have none. People often use these for permanent entries like Dep, Int etc.
