QFX Import Issue
I'm having issues with Moneydance importing my QFX info. It is not properly reconciling my information from the QFX to my spending accounts. (Groceries, Gasoline etc) And it seems to be mixing up names on me. For example dollar values that i know happened at Burger King for example are coming up attached to a local pizza joint.
I have noticed that the majority of my issues have a TRACE # 0000010 in the memo section.
Below is an excerpt from my QFX file, as you can see below both COSTCO #153 and MAN. LIQUOR have the same transaction number.
When importing information MoneyDance will try to tell me that both of those transactions belong together in a category that has nothing to do with either of them.
I have used the last version of MoneyDance for about a year and
a half and it has always worked great, this issue seems to have
cropped up once I upgraded to 2010.
I'm running a build in the 740 area, 746 is my guess (I'm currently
at work and can't double check)

Scott,
Sorry for the late response. I am trying to clear up pending issues. Our latest build (751) cleared up a few bugs.
You can get it here: http://moneydance.com/other
If this doesn't solve the problem let me know.
Tom

I installed 751, as per your reccomendation and it is an improvment over 750. It ultimatly kind of worked the way i expected...so i resolved all my new transactions, and then I went back and deleted all the historic transatctions that did not make sense. (the mess that was created from previous builds)
a) duplicate transactions
b) there as a service provider that came up incorrectly over and over again.
I figured I would be able to do this and then re-download another QFX going back to the start of the year. And all the transactions that were not there would show up again. I expect a maximum of about 15 tranactions.
I have done the before with MD 2008, no problem.
Turns out it re-imported everything, i had to go back and accept every tranaction back to Jan 1.
I was pretty disgusted when this happened and closed the application out of furstration...i never did check to see if it just doubled everything up...or just wants me to re-accept the transactions.

Scott,
I'm sorry to hear had such a frustrating experience. Is there something we can do to assist you with this issue? I am unsure if there is a way to work around the massive duplicates issue, you could try reverting to the last backup made before you did the import.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and I apologize again for the inconvenience,
Angie Rauscher
