batch change on tags
I am certain there is something I am missing, but I seem to be unable to add a single tag to a series of transactions in the register using "batch change".
The tag is an existing tag called "internal". I am able to add the tag to each item in the register discretely. However, after selecting a number of transactions, selecting "batch change", selecting "tags" from the menu, then selecting the tag itself from my list of tags the tag simply never gets added.
It seems like I'm missing something so wondered if anyone had any ideas?
Thanks.

Hi,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
Using the Find and Replace extension you'll set the search fields in the 'Find' panel on the left. Then choose 'Find'. This will display a number of transactions at the bottom of the window.
In the panel on the right, select 'Modify Tags'. Then specify 'Add tags', 'Remove tags', or 'Replace all with', and choose the tag you'd like to use.
Once you've picked the settings you need, choose 'Replace' or 'Replace All' at the bottom of the panel on the right.
If you're happy with the changes press 'Record', then 'Done'.
You should create any tags you want to use before opening the extension. To do this, simply enter the tag into the 'tag' field of any transaction. To add multiple tags to one transaction, just separate them with a comma.
You can find information about tags in this article from the knowledge base.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

Thanks.
Got it, was able to do it using the Find and Replace addon. Appreciate that.
So it's not something I'm doing? The batch change isn't functional? I usually assume I'm missing something as most often that is the case.

It could be useful to refer you to this article in the Knowledge Base, where the process for Batch Changing > Tags is explained.
