Moneydance 2024.5 (5253) stops responding when attempting to import a file on MacOS Tahoe 26.1
When I attempt to import a downloaded file using Moneydance 2024.5 (5253) on an M2 Max MacBook Pro running Tahoe 26.1, Moneydance stops responding before opening the file dialog, giving only the rainbow pinwheel.
Manual functions seem to be working fine.

One of the first question I would have is does the file load on a different platform combination, for anyone else to try it will require a sample file. The regular responders on the forums have a variety of systems, not sure if any have a M2.
This goes to the question of if it is a valid file in the first place.

Thanks for responding.
A reboot fixed the issue.
For clarity's sake, the file is fine and opened in other apps...but the problem was that Moneydance was locking up and throwing a the rainbow pinwheel as soon as I selected "Import" from the "File" Menu.

Good to hear it is resolved.
It is worth remembering that opening fine in other applications only means that the file is not corrupted in an overall sense, we do see malformed files however where the contents are invalid for the file type.
