Moneydance Version Compatible with Apple Silicon
I have a recent MacBook Pro running Tahoe 26.4.1. I am getting messages from Apple the this version of Moneydance will not run on future updates to the Mac OS. Moneydance is a critical component of my person finances. With IK be issuing an update that solves this problem?

You don't say what version of MD you are running? Anyway, the latest Mac install package includes native Silicon app version.... So if you are somehow using the intel version with Rosetta, then you need to check your install.

I too am using a MacBook (MacBook Air) with Tahoe 26.4.1. I am using Moneydance 2020.1 (1928). Will this be compatible with the future iterations of Mac OS? Thanks-

No one, with the possible exception of those at Apple, may know what changes Apple may make in the macOS operating system and what their potential impact is on applications including Moneydance. It is therefore impossible to predict what impact future versions of macOS may have on various versions of Moneydance.

Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
Software built specifically for Intel‑based Macs will eventually stop working on Macs that use Apple’s silicon chips.
This shouldn’t affect newer versions of Moneydance.
You can confirm this on your Mac: open Finder, go to your Applications folder, then right‑click (or Ctrl‑click) on Moneydance and choose Get Info. In the window that appears, check the Kind field — look at the text in brackets after “Application”.
The brackets will show one of the following: Apple silicon, Universal, or Intel.
Moneydance 2022 and later will show Universal, meaning it’s designed to run natively on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs. These versions will continue to work when macOS 28 is released.
Only applications that show Intel in brackets will stop working on future macOS versions.

Thank you, Maddy, for your helpful suggestions. I checked, and the version that I am using is for an Intel processor, so I assume that I will need to purchase and download the latest version? Thanks again-

Evidently I already had an update version downloaded from the App Store (I don't recall ever doing that, but it's an updated Universal version, so I guess that works!). Thanks again for your help!
