If I don't display the side-bar; I'm presented with a window that is much like the 2008r4 main window.

But, if I click on an account, I'm taken to the account register...

Previously in Moneydance 2008, there was a button in the upper-right corner to return back to the
home page. If felt very much like a "back" button in a web browser.

That was removed from the register window; so there is no way to return back to the home page
(again, the side bar is turned off) except via a menu selection or a 3-button keyboard selection.

If the sidebar is off, can we have a button on every page that returns back to the home page?

    Hi Dave,
You're correct the 'Home' button was removed.
It took some getting used to but I've found that the side bar provides a level of convenience such that I always keep it open now. The 'Home' button quickly became a distant memory.

You can also use Command-shift-H (ctrl-shift-H) to get to the home page.

I've tried getting used to the new sidebar but on my 1024x768 it just takes up too much space. I also would love to have the old 'Home' button back - it would take up sooo little space but be such a great convenience. Ctrl-shift-h doesn't always work for me for some reason, and using the account menu selection or even the sidebar, it's not always a simple 1-click to return home. I have a lot of accounts so it usually involves click, scroll to top, then click 'Home' or "My Finances'. I'd love to have the old Home icon back in the top menu area which is always visible.

5 months ago I filed this ticket to get the Home icon back:
