Importing Recurring Transactions from .ofx

Ever since the recent updates, I haven't been able to import transactions from .ofx file properly; specifically, for monthly recurring transactions. it simply replaces one of the recurring transactions from previous month (even though the previous transaction has already been cleared) and changes the date to the current month, it messes up the all the balances.

    Hi kithyacct7,

I've noticed the same behavior in newer builds of Moneydance.

What I've found to help is to go into Preferences on the Network tab.
For the option 'Only match downloaded transactions when they are at most 'X' day apart'. I set the number of days to a low number so that it doesn't get matched with the prior month's transaction(s).

I import my data pretty much daily, so I have it set to 3 days. You should set it accordingly.

I don't know what changed but the 'matching' algorithm was apparently fiddled with. I can't say that I like it.

    Hi kithyacct7,

You're welcome. Let us know how it works out. OK?

I've asked Sean (Moneydance's developer) if he can look into having the algorithm ignore 'Cleared' transactions. Fingers crossed.

    Hi kithyacct7,

Excellent! I'm glad to hear that it worked.

Thank you for reporting back with your results.

I haven't heard back from the developer yet.
