Drill down and Tags
I love the recent drill down capabilities added to the reports.
But one thing that appears to be omitted from the drill down
capability is filtering the drilled down to detail by tag.
For example, if I have a report that is filtering by a specific tag, and I drill down to the detail of an expense, the detail drilled down to includes all detail for that expense and not just the detail for the tag the report is filtering by. Therefore, the drilled down detail total does not match the balance you drilled down from.

Hi
Double clicking on the category in the Income and expense report takes you to the register for that income and expense category. It is not technically a drill down rather a link to the income or expense account register that the transactions came from. That register will not be filtered by the options you set in the report. I have created a suggestion ticket in our issue tracking system proposing a solution. Here is the link to the ticket:
