creating reports in multi currency
I have a category for example "pension income". I also have 2
bank accounts one in €Euros and one in £Sterling, both
of these accounts are credited with €'s and £'s
respectfully. (One account has been created in default currency of
£Sterling and the other in €Euro). I create a report to
identify both the bank accounts and the "pension income" category.
All entries are listed but values shown only in €Euros (the
£ values converted to €) and not in the currency of
each of the accounts, however the page totals are shown in
£Sterling. I would add that all of the totals are correct but
I wish to create reports identifying the individual transactions
and their value in the currency they were entered. I believe this
is a programming error and would be grateful for advise how to
overcome the problem. I did write about 10 days ago as a question
but received no reponses so have assumed that a tweak to the
program could be appropriate?
Any comments would be appreciated.

Accounts are listed in the base currency in which they are created. The subcategories can be created in other currencies, but when they roll up, the totals will be converted to the base currency of the parent account. This is how Moneydance was programed.
While the totals while be listed in the base currency, the individual transaction on the income and expense reports, as well as the cash flow report, will be listed in the currency they were made.

I have the same issue - accounts and categories in various currencies and I would like reports to total in both currencies. The individual totals are correct and at the moment I have to export the report via clipboard to a numbers spreadsheet where I can re-do the sum in the currency of the individual entries which is doable but a long way round when the information is there to be added up.

Jontyreason,
I can certainly see the benefit of displaying report totals in more than one currency, and I have created a ticket for this issue. The ticket is attached to this discussion. By posting in this discussion your interest in the ticket has been registered. This is equivalent to voting for it, and you'll be automatically notified when there are further developments.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

Sorry for roaming all your discussions, I'm finally digging into MoneyDance properly. I like what I see :)
