I found the transfer transaction but it doesn't seem to
work.

Hi Lloyd,
You need to input the account that you want to transfer to into the 'Category' field. Click the double arrows on the right hand side of the 'Category' field, your accounts will be listed towards the top of the drop down list.

I guess it's not automatic or intuititive like Quicken. I can get the money out of savings but not into checking.

Hi Lloyd,
If you could provide a screen shot of the specific txns., perhaps someone here may be able to decipher why your transfer is not happening.

Hi Lloyd
To enter a transfer in moneydance enter the transaction in the source account register (in this case savings) and in the category field select the destination account e.g. checking. This will automatically create the balancing entry in the destination account.

It worked this time, probably doing it wrong before! Only on the demo
version right now, don't like Quicken after using it for years. The
Mac version of Quicken sucks. A few more days and I'll buy the full
version.
Thanks
Lloyd
