I am running Moneydance 2010 (2010r3, downloaded and installed a couple of days ago) on Windows XP Pro (Service Pack 3). Java is 1.6.0_20.

Yesterday I reinstalled from the current download. I had to go back to a backup, due to some file strangness, but it worked fine. I restarted the program several times and all went well. I had done about 2/3 of the catchup that I needed to do to the backup to make it current. I made a couple backups yesterday, just in case.

Today, trying to start Moneydance - we were back to the won't execute problem.

I reinstalled and it started fine and the amounts on the various accounts looked OK. The graphs were there for the securities. The reminders were there.

Is there any other information I can give you to help solve this problem? I can continue to reinstall every time I want to use Moneydance, but . . .

Well, it decided to work today, so we'll consider this closed until the next 'problem'.
