Hi Albert,
Access your investment account in Moneydance. Click on 'Securities Detail' near the top of the window. Then click on 'Add Security'on the right hand side. In the resulting window, click on 'New Security' Enter at least the Security Name and Ticker Symbol.
There is extensive information in the Moneydance Users Guide. Look to Chapter 9.
