I'm trying to run MD on Windows 7 Home Premium. Have been using it successfully for some weeks but today the program is opening minimized and can't be made to maximize. Have checked trac and found ticket #2193 but the link to last posting doesn't work or at least there is no posting for this ticket at the given date. Don't know the MD version as I can't access it but "last modified" date is 27/12/2009.

    James,

If you are not using the most recent version (2010re build 751), please update to that version. This build was released a few weeks ago, so it's certainly newer than the version you have. You can download the update here. This update has resolved a few key issues our users have been experiencing. Please let me know if your issue persists and we will look into other solutions.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

Thank you for that. I've tried downloading the beta but it hasn't
installed. Should I uninstall the present version first?

OK. So I uninstalled the old version, went to your main downloads page,
not the beta page I was directed to previously, and downloaded and
installed 751. And the problem remains the same with this version.

The problem is caused by moneydance remembering the window state it was in when the program was closed. If the program was closed while it was minimized, when it is next run it will start minimized. To maximize the window hover the mouse over the running Moneydance item in the taskbar. You will see a thumbnail if the program. Right click on the thumbnail and click maximize.

I am sorry for the trouble this has caused you. We are working to fix the problem.

    Sincerely
    Ben Spencer

Thanks Ben, that's fixed it. Will I need a new licence key to keep using
    the new version?

    Hi James,
From the Menu bar, click on Help, then 'Register Moneydance' It will tell you whether or not you need to enter a license key.

    James,

You won't need a new key to keep using the new version, the Moneydance 2010 updates are free to those who purchased Moneydance 2008 or 2010. I have re-sent your license key to your email address in case you need another copy of it.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,
