Change data file name?
I recently had a computer problem, causing me to restore my
Moneydance from a checkpoint file.
All is well, but the name of the data file is now
"root.mdinternal", although the name at the top of the MD screen is
the correct name.
So far I have been unable to change the name from
"root.mdinternal". Is this by design for some reason, or am I
missing something.
I'm using Moneydance 2014
Please advise.

Hi JB,
Try this...
Open Moneydance.
From the Menu bar, go to Help > Show Documents Folder.
A file browser will open to the default location for Moneydance data sets.
If you were using the default location, you should see your root.mdinternal.moneydance data set there.
If so, close Moneydance but keep the file browser open.
Rename the root.mdinternal.moneydance data set. Be sure to maintain the .moneydance extension.
When you restart Moneydance is should open to the 'Welcome Screen' with your newly renamed data set listed on the right-hand side.
