Edward Jones initial # shares not downloaded
I am a new user of MoneyDance 2010 (love it). I can download data from Edward Jones for all of my securities but I can get data only from the last month or so. The number of shares listed in portfolio view is only the number that have been purchased by dividend reinvestment since 5/26/2010. It's not getting the initial number of shares. Ideas?

Typically financial institutions will only provide downloads for the last 3 months. You will need to set up your initial holdings in the investment account manually. You can do this by setting the initial value on the investment account. Go into the investment account and select Account->Edit Account, there is an initial balance field in that window. This will put money in the cash balance of the investment account. Enter buy transactions in the register to represent your initial holdings. The buy transactions will use the cash balance to pay for the purchases.
