I am currently having problems with my internet connection going up and down, nothing to do with Moneydance, but when downloading transactions for an account my connection had a hiccup and then Moneydance got stuck. The "Online" menu drop-down was still displayed with the "Download Transactions" menu item selected and the mouse cursor is displaying the wait icon. It was probably 20 minutes and there was no timeout, Moneydance just hung waiting for a response that would never come. I ended up killing the program via Windows Task Manager and restarting and then download was successful, but the file was unsaved at the time and there was no way to save it or exit smoothly.

Sorry, more info - this is on Windows 7 RC with the latest Moneydance - 2008r4 (640) (just upgraded earlier tonight), Java Version: 1.6.0_13.

    Hi Cecil

I am sorry I have taken so long to post a response. Things have been rather hectic on the forums lately.

I have created a ticket to add a time out on download transactions function. Here is the link:

    http://moneydance.com/trac/ticket/1950

If you register and log into trac you can vote on this ticket. The more votes a ticket gets the higher the priority.

    Sincerely

    Ben Spencer
