updater says cant install while moneydance running ......... md2008r4
I used to get around this by installing the mdfile with out java that had the .sh extension. can you make it available? I tried the tar but had no luck...using kubuntu 9.04

Are you refering to the Automatic updater extension? Or is this an error you are getting during an update from file you manually downloaded?
I am running ubuntu 9.04 and the automatic updater extension updated my installation to build 640 without error. If you have not installed this extension please do so.

Ben, thanks for replying. My Auto updater has not worked in the last 2years. Ive always had to install the file manually using the .sh linuxinstaller with out Java since I had Java already installed. This time I tried the tar and had no luck. So I wsent ahead and installed the shlinuux install with Java.And as expected It installed java 1.6.07 which was in direct conflict with my ....thinkorswiim application which uses java 1.5 exclusively. So I removed the java subfolder out of the moneydance folder and reinstalledThinkorswim so both are using 1.5 and everything is now ok. All of this could have been avoided if the sh linuxinstaller file without java was made available as it has in the past..... rick
