The program is working fine, I can save my files and preferences, the only problem is with the " Single Line Mode" option, everytime I switch from 2 Lines to Single Line the system does not save my settings, returning to 2 Line mode.

What could be wrong?

Tks,

Yep, that happens to me too. I use this program both on Mac and Windows, and one doesn't work any better than the other in this regard.

I am not able to reproduce the problem you are describing. One thing that may be the cause of what you are experiencing is that the one/two line mode is per account type rather than per account. Such that if you have 2 bank accounts and you set one to single line mode, all bank accounts are set to that mode. If you change one of them back to 2 line mode all of them change back. Are you able to set bank accounts to single line mode save and then reopen and have them still in single line mode?

Unfortunately this is definitely NOT the problem (more than one bank account). The reason I know that is because I only have one bank account in MD at this time.

I figured I'd get one going good, and then add others....

But just to make certain that I didn't inadvertently set it wrong, I just now this minute went into MD, opened my ONLY bank account, set it to one line mode as always. Saved. Closed. Re-opened....and it's back to two line mode again.

Can you confirm that you are running build 751 of MD2010. You can see the build number by selecting Help->Console Window.

    Hey, something I just noticed!

My iMac (Leopard OS) has the recurring two-line problem. So does the Windows XP computer. As does the Vista computer. But...BINGO....the Windows 7 computer holds the single-line mode properly.

So it looks like the single-line mode works properly only under Windows 7.

This isn't a deal-breaker for me, but it would be nice if the single-line mode worked consistently across all platforms, as designed.

    Thanks!

    Hi

I have now been able to reproduce the problem. The problem is that the register saves its configuration state when you leave the register by going into another register or the home page. The work around is to go back to the home page after changing to single line mode and then saving the program before quitting.

This problem is fixed in our current internal build and will be fixed in the next release.

    Sincerely
    Ben Spencer
