When I am in a bank account and attempt to download (via command-D)
the latest transactions, and there are no transactions to download,
the top menubar disappear and only the Moneydance entry remains
(i.e. File, etc are gone). This only happens when there are no
transaction to download and appears as the dialog "Your account is
currently up to date" does.</p>
<p>Clicking on any of the menu entries under Moneydance (i.e. About
Moneydance) restores the proper menus.</p>

menu. Also I've had it intermittently crash. Not sure what happened
in the latest build but the instability appeared as soon as I
downloaded 2008r4 (640). I'm running OSX 10.5.7 on a relatively new
MBP.</p></div>twheatentag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/2248632009-07-02T03:48:47Z2024-02-01T16:05:04ZDownload on up to date account loses top menu - OS X<div><p>Yep. I'm also seeing that many of the menu items are intermittently grayed out. Those with shortcut keys can still be used, but if something like OFX Import is gray you're hosed. Only thing to do is to try restarting a few times and hope it comes back.</p></div>jimtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/2248632009-07-02T11:43:10Z2009-07-02T11:50:30ZDownload on up to date account loses top menu - OS X<div><p>Deleting an account gives the same behaviour.</p></div>BrettCtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/2248632009-07-02T12:41:35Z2009-07-02T12:41:35ZDownload on up to date account loses top menu - OS X<div><p>Hi all</p>
<p>I am afraid this menu bug you are seeing is a known bug with
Apple's Java release. I understand that they are aware of it and
working to fix it.</p>
<p>Sincerely</p>

exhibit this behavior, can MoneyDance not correct it in the
meantime ?</p></div>scottgregorytag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/2248632009-07-18T04:06:13Z2010-11-26T18:00:32ZDownload on up to date account loses top menu - OS X<div><p>I'm having this problem too and I definitely did not have it
until I got the last update. It could be a bug in Apple's Java
release, but, because it didn't happen until the latest MoneyDance
update makes me think it could also be an unhandled event or bug in
the latest MoneyDance?</p></div>russell_martintag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/2248632009-07-18T04:31:46Z2010-11-26T18:00:32ZDownload on up to date account loses top menu - OS X<div><p>I'm having this problem too and I definitely did not have it

And I am sorry that you
are experiencing this problem. I can confirm that Apple have fixed
the problem with the version of java that they released with Snow
Leopard. And I hope that they will release that java fix for
earlier versions of their operating system soon.</p>

pop up the Reports dialog, which of course is one of the icons on
the main screen.</p>
<p>That said, I have not had the problem for at least several days,
if not weeks...</p></div>scottgregory
