Switch from files from a pc to mac

hi

i am trying to transfer files from a pc to a mac, I have done the "export" data and then import on the mac but the dates are all messed up a data of the 30/04/2010 on the pc is showing as 06/04/2012 on the mac, please advise.

    Hi Frank,
    Check that the date format is the same in your data files. File > Preferences > General tab > Date Format.
    I don't think that 'Export' is the preferred way to transfer data from one system to another.
    Try just copying your data file from the pc to the mac. Burn it to a CD/DVD, copy it to a USB drive or simply email it to yourself and download it to the mac.
    The data file will have a .md file extention. e.g. Moneydance.md

    ok i have mailed the file to the mac how do i upload to moneydance do i have to delete all the files in moneydance and start again.
