incorrect balance
I am new to Moneydance and have downloaded my checking account info to MD but the balance is way off. Why does it not automatically reflect the current balance that is in my checking account?

Hi suemonken,
Most banks only make availalble a few months worth of data for download. To compensate, you'll need to set the initial balance in order to reconcile the account.
Access the account register, then from the Menu bar, click on 'Account' then 'Edit Account... in the resulting form you can set the initial balance
You're only other option to make your account reconcile is to gather the data from your statements, prior to the downloaded data and manually input it.
