Imported a single (30/31day) QIF file

after migrating from Moneydance 2014 to 2015.3

the last transaction i had was definitely 31/12/2014 - I now have a range of transactions from 01/02/2015 (UK convention) to 12/07/2016
a) how do I back this out?
b) how should i do this correctly

    Hi John,

I'm sorry for this problem. It sounds like the file may have been imported with the wrong date format. The QIF format is a bit nebulous with respect to things like date formats so it depends on your computer's locale setting. Moneydance let's you select the date format used in the file which is usually dd/mm/yy in the UK and the ridiculous mm/dd/yy in the US.

We can back out the change by manually fiddling with the data file if you know the approximate date and time that the import was performed. Would you be willing to send me a copy of your data file to perform this operation?

A less fiddly way to undo the import would be to sort your import register by the date of entry:
    - right-click on the transaction register (or control-click on a mac) to select the Sort By -> Date Entered option - the imported transactions should now be grouped together. If you can identify the first one, click on it, then find the last one and shift-click on it, you can select all of the imported transactions and delete them.

Please let me know if either of these options will be helpful. I'm also extremely sorry for the delayed response to your question!

    Thanks,
