I have followed the instructions in the FAQ for loading data from Quicken (2008) but, I am not successful. No accounts are created and no data is loaded. I do not get errors. Export file type is QDF.

Export file type ought to be QIF.

    Hi Linda

If you email your exported QIF file form quicken to me [email blocked]

I'll attempt to convert it into a Moneydance data file. If I am successful I'll email back the Moneydance file.

    Sincerely

    Ben Spencer

When I select export in Quicken the option is QIF file but the export result is QDF. I would rather not share my QDF file. Is there a conversion tool available?

    Hi Linda Hi LInda

I understand your concern about sharing your private data. I am not sure I understand why you are not getting a QIF file from the Quicken QIF export. There is no way to convert directly from a QDF to Moneydance. QDF is a closed propitiatory file format and therefore there is no conversion tool. You must first get Quicken to produce a QIF file and then import the QIF file into Moneydacne. Perhaps Quicken is putting the exported QIF file in an unexpected location. Use your operating system to search for "*.QIF" without the quotes. That will show you all QIF files on your computer.

    Ben
