Reinstall Moneydance and recover data

I took my computer back to its original Factory condition. How do I reinstall Moneydance 2015 with all my data? I use OS Maverick, I don´t have a backup of my data file, but I continued using Moneydance in my iPhone 6 and I access the whole data from de iPhone.

    Hello,

    Are you certain that you don't have a backup of your main Moneydance file? If you don't, I'm afraid there is no way to recover your data. The information in the iOS app contains only a small fraction of the data necessary to create a full data file, and must be paired with an existing desktop data file. If you have deleted your desktop data file, I'm afraid there will be no way to recover your data.

    If you do discover that you have made a backup of your main data file, you can use the open other option from the Moneydance welcome screen or the menu bar (File -> Open -> Open Other) to select your yourfilename.moneydance data set.

    What do you do when the open other option won't open a money dance file? I can't even click on the file to open it with Moneydance?

    What is the full name of the file you are trying to open with this method, including the file extension?

    I am certain that I have no backups of my main data file. I´m thinking to look at the information on my mobile device to hand copy it over, but I´m afraid that MD2015 sync, and replace all the information on my mobile device with the blank data file. How do I reinstall MD 2015 on my Macbook Maverick?

    Hello,

    Yes, if you try to set up syncing with a new data file, it will erase all of the data currently on your iPhone. If you do not have a backup of your data file, I'm afraid there is no way to recover your data.

    If you purchased Moneydance directly from us, you can redownload Moneydance from our website at http://infinitekind.com/downloads. If you purchased Moneydance from a third-party site, such as the Mac App Store, you should download it from that site.

    I´m sorry I´m not an expert. Does It means that if I do not try to set up syncing, I can retype (enter manually) all of the data from the mobile device to the computer, and it it will no erase all of the data on my iPhone?. Synchronization is not an automatic function? Then, when I finish to retype all of the data, I can sync the devices, and all will be ok?

    Yes, if you do not try to set up syncing in the File -> Syncing menu, your data on your iPhone should remain (but cannot sync because you have lost your main data file), and you can use that to retype that information into the desktop version. When you reenable syncing, whatever is on the iPhone will be replaced by whatever is on your new data file in the desktop version.

    I purchased Moneydance for my Mac in April 2015. In September the folks at the Genius Bar cleaned my computer by wiping it and reinstalling the OS X Lion 10.7.5. I ran a backup to my time capsule before the folks at the genius bar did their thing.
    Now when I go into my Time Capsule backup I can't find any trace of my moneydance app, much less the date associated with it.
    Is there anything I can do, to recover my app (without having to pay for it again). Even if I have lost the past data I am willing to use my iPad to recreate the mac data.

    Hi, Lee

    I changed my cell phone from iPhone 6 to iPhone 7 one week ago. Moneydance in the cellphone synchronized mi data only until march 13th, the phone do not show any posterior entry done in the computer, and if I enter any date in the phone, I can not see it in the computer. How can I sync the devices?
